Carolyn White English

   Carolyn Faith White English, 73, of 334 Yellow Hammer Road, Tyner, NC, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mrs. English was born in Roxboro, Person County, NC on October 18, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Archie Graham and Thelma Hobgood White. A bookkeeper, she had retired from the Dixon Law Firm in Edenton, and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sybil Clayton.

   A devoted wife to her husband, The Rev. Don English, she faithfully served beside him throughout his ministry as a pastor, and later during appointments as Director of The Chowan Baptist Association, and as Healthcare Chaplain of Brookridge Retirement Community.

   In addition to her husband, she is survived by their three sons, Donald B. English, Jr. of Kuwait City, Kuwait, Jeffery Wayne English and wife Shawna of Erie, CO, and Christopher Logan English and wife Lori of Mt. Pleasant, UT; her sister, Winnie Evans of Fort Mill, SC; five granddaughters, Anna, Becky, Maria, Kate, and Emma; and four great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Macedonia Baptist Church and will be officiated by her pastor, The Rev. Bob Young. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville.

   Friends may join the family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and other times at the residence.
