Jim Foxx

   Graydon James “Jim” Foxx, 77, of 174 Mt. Pleasant Road, Creswell, NC, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 in his home.

   Mr. Foxx was born in Marion, Indiana on April 7, 1939, and was the son of the late Graydon Arnold and Betty Foxx. Retired from the United States Navy after serving for more than 20 years, he then began a second career in automobile parts, working both at Manning Motor Co. in Plymouth, and later at Albemarle Motor Co. in Edenton.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Foxx, and by his brothers, Gary, Jerry, and Tom Foxx.

   Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Bessie Davenport Foxx; a step-son, Mark Dall of Creswell; three sisters, Crystal Carr, Cuba Cain, and Mona Moore; two brothers, Terry and Larry Foxx; and two granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany Dall.

   In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, assisted the family with arrangements.
