Dianne Divers White

   Dianne Divers White, 73, departed this life and took our Lord’s hand, on Monday, April 11, 2016 in her home at Windsor Point Retirement Community in Fuquay Varina.

   A life-long resident of Hertford, Dianne moved to Wake County to be closer to her daughter’s family, however, Hertford was always her home and she treasured the many memories she made there with her family and close friends.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who found great pride and joy in her grandchildren.  A good and faithful servant, she walked with Christ and found her strength and comfort in Him throughout her life.

   Dianne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Walter Wellington “Welly” White, Jr., and by her parents, Charles Haywood and Marie Stanton Divers.

   She is survived by her son, Walter Wellington “Wally” White, III and wife Laura of Merritt Island, FL, her daughter, Kelli White Poe and husband Alex of Apex; and her sisters, Barbara Pivinski and husband Tony of Hertford, and Monica Ranhorn and husband Vann of Elizabeth City.  Dianne also leaves behind four grandchildren whom she truly adored; Bailey White, Keaton White, Eliza Poe and Mikayla Poe.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16th, at 12 noon on the family plot at Cedarwood Cemetery in Hertford.  Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
