John Pearce Chilcoat, IV

   John Pearce Chilcoat IV, 45, of 113 Robin Lane, Edenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

   John was born in Washington, DC on September 9, 1970, and was the son of Judith Wilson Chilcoat of Edenton and the late John P. Chilcoat III. A paralegal, he was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

   In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Susan Chilcoat Harrelson and husband Hal of Laurel, MD and Christina Chilcoat Cash and husband Jeff of Simpsonville, KY; and by his nieces and nephews, Kathleen and Thomas Harrelson, and Ian and Molly Cash.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and will be officiated by The Rev. J. Malone Gilliam. Burial will follow in the church memorial garden. The family will receive friends in the church parish hall immediately following the service.

   Flowers are to be omitted and contributions in his memory be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 548, Edenton, NC  27932.
