Harold Saum Ford

   Harold Saum Ford, 87, of Queen Anne Drive, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016.

   Mr. Ford was born in Cumberland, MD on June 25, 1928, and was the son of the late Emanuel Harold and Wilhelmina Elizabeth McRae Ford.  Retired from Chrysler Corporation, he was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.  A veteran, he had served in the US Army.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Ford, and by a daughter, Cathryn Elizabeth Redker.

   Surviving are his son, Robert Harold Ford and wife Vicki; a son-in-law, Rick Redker; a sister, Suzanne Collins and husband Thomas; four grandchildren, Jonathon Redker and wife Kassie, Andrew Redker, Ashton Ford, and Jessica Ford; and two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Redker.

   A memorial service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.  Friends may join the family on Monday in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m., and immediately following the service in the chapel, everyone is invited to join the family in Nothin Fancy Café, 701 N. Broad St., Edenton.
