Esther Mae Marriner Lambiase Williams, 76, of 1303 Possum Quarter Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 in her home.
Mrs. Williams was born in Chowan County on January 24, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Esther Davenport Marriner. A homemaker, she had also been employed in retail sales for many years. A member of New Life Assembly of God, she was an avid reader and writer having authored two books. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Anthony Lambiase.
Surviving are her husband of 12 years, Melvin Lee Williams, Sr.; two daughters, Tracye Lambiase of Norfolk, VA and Lisa Lambiase of Elizabeth City; a son, Christopher Lane Dail of Elizabeth City; a step-daughter, Cindy Copeland of Hertford; a step-son, Melvin Williams, Jr. of Edenton; two sisters, Peggy Harper and Nancy Kennedy, both of Edenton; three brothers, Tommy Marriner of Edenton, Doug Marriner of Elizabeth City, and Sammy Marriner of Point Harbor; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City. Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to the services beginning at 1:00 p.m., and all other times at the residence.
