Herbert Hoover Gay

   Herbert Hoover Gay, 85, formerly of Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 in Petersburg, VA.

   Mr. Gay was born in Chowan County on January 29, 1931 and was the son of the late Charlie and Estelle Gay. He was a retired painter.

   Surviving are three nieces and one nephew, and many other extended family members and friends.

   Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, the hour prior to services.
