Harvey Wayne Askew

   Harvey Wayne Askew, 44, 0f 203 Bedford Court, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Maryview Medical Center.

   Mr. Askew as born in Portsmouth on July 21, 1971, and was the son of the late John Wilbert and Betty Harrell Askew. Prior to his health deteriorating, he was employed as a mechanic and in building supply delivery.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Alma Kay Askew.

   Surviving are his brother, John F. Askew and wife Karen of Portsmouth, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Eure Baptist Church and will be officiated by the church pastor, Dr. Wayne Proctor. A private burial will follow in the Askew Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the service.
