Robert Lynn Hathaway

   Robert Lynn Hathaway, 74, of 972 US Hwy 158 East, Sunbury, NC, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 in his home.

   Mr. Hathaway was born in Reber, NY on September 19, 1941, and was the son of the late Raymond and Ethel Strong Hathaway. A retired manager from the grocery store industry, he was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing and working on automobiles. He was an Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Koart, and Marshall Hathaway.

   Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Peggy Ann Oliver Hathaway; two daughters, Laura Tilley and husband Lee of Rowlett, TX and Tammy Robbinette and husband Jerry of Roseville, MN; a son, Jason Hathaway of Sunbury; a sister, Alberta Curran of Reber; two brothers, Vaughn Hathaway of Reber and Bradley Hathaway of Charlotte Court House, VA; and seven grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
