Jacquelyn Sandifer Strange

   Jacquelyn Yvette Sandifer Strange, 79, of 190 W. Mobile Road, Harbinger, NC, died Friday, June 3, 2016 in Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation.

   Mrs. Strange was born in Washington, LA on February 6, 1937, and was the daughter of the late William James and Dorthia Seal Sandifer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Allan Strange, a sister, Shannon Sandifer, and by a brother, Stanley Sandifer.

   Surviving are her husband, Maxie Lee Strange; three daughters, Michelle Hartmann and Rochelle Brinkley, both of Currituck; and Amy Hawkins of St. Louis, MO; a son, Rob Hartmann and wife Lisa of West Monroe, LA; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Strange of Festus, MO; a sister, Theresa Doyle of San Antonio, TX; and seven grandchildren.

   At her request, no services will be held.  Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 11125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
