Travis Alvin Cline

   Travis Alvin Cline, 68, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

   Mr. Cline was born in Mingo County, WV on June 16, 1948, and was the son of Anita Cline Miyasato of Grandy and the late Dexter Cline. A retired commercial truck driver, he was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Justus.

   Surviving along with his mother are his wife of nearly 37 years, Virginia Sellars Cline; a daughter, Jessica Fox and husband James of Miami, FL; a son, Patrick Cline of Leavenworth, KS; two sisters, Glenda Phillips of Plantersville, TX and Pam Harless of Isaban, WV; and a brother, Kevin Cline, also of Isaban, WV.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Baptist Church, and will be officiated by his pastor, The Rev. Bryan Pease. Friends may join the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the service. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
