Elisha Lamb

   Elisha Lamb, 83, of 182 Beech Springs Road, Hertford, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 in his home.

   Mr. Lamb was born in Perquimans County on April 30, 1933, and was the son of the late Linwood William Lamb and Lucy Dail Lilly. A retired farmer, he was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Dail; a sister, Mary Sally Campbell; a brother, Shelton Lilly; and by a granddaughter.

   Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Martha Virginia Thach Lamb; six daughters, Christie Lamb of Hertford, Catherine June Lamb of Kill Devil Hills, Diane Chaulk of Belvidere, Karen Dail of Hertford, Deborah Lamb of Virginia Beach, VA, and Beverly Sutton of Kitty Hawk; four sons, David Harrell of Tyner, Danny Harrell of Hobbsville, Dennis Harrell of Ohio, and Johnny Lamb of Shiloh; a sister, Shirley Wilson of Suffolk, VA; four brothers, Linwood Lamb of South Mills, Marvin Lilly of Suffolk, James Curtis Lilly of Tyner, and Roger Lilly of Georgia; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be officiated by Pastor Joe Jackson. A private burial will follow in the Dail Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is handling arrangements.
