Marlynn Payne Pilegard

   Marlynn Payne (Lynn) Pilegard, 86, died on Monday, July 4, 2016 in her home.

   Mrs. Pilegard was born in Elmira, NY, and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Myrtle Payne. She was a member of Edenton United Methodist Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Pilegard, Sr.; a sister, Dorothy; and a brother, Lt. Col. Glenn A. Payne, Jr., retired.

   Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Cumberland and husband Pete of Reston, VA, and their daughter, Cecilia Cumberland and husband David Logan of Manassas Park, VA; a son, Philip Pilegard and wife Maribelle of Woodbridge, VA; a son, Edward M. Pilegard, Jr. and wife Tammy of Salisbury, NC, and their son, Brian Pilegard of Woolwine, VA.

   A graveside memorial service was held Monday, July 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery, and was officiated by the Rev. W. Christopher Aydlett.
