Linton Yancey Taylor, Jr.

   Linton Yancey Taylor, Jr., 82, of 240 S. Early Station Road, Ahoskie, NC, died Wednesday July 27, 2016 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

   Mr. Taylor was born in Hertford County on March 24, 1934, and was the son of the late Linton Yancey, Sr. and Lucille White Taylor. For many years he had been employed as a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three half-sisters.

   Surviving are his son, Granson Taylor of Cofield; a dear friend and companion, Alma Taylor of Ahoskie; two sisters, Louise Taylor Cummings of Colonial Heights, VA and Amy Harp of South Chesterfield, VA; and two half-sisters, Rebecca Taylor Askew of Ahoskie and Sally Taylor Beamon of Portsmouth, VA.

   At his request, no services will be held. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
