Donna McClure Veneris

   Donna McClure Veneris, 73, of Daniels Road, Corapeake, NC, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

   Mrs. Veneris was born in Fairmont, WV on March 13, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Donald Eugene and Ruth Slusser McClure. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she was a faithful follower and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

   Surviving are her husband, Harry Veneris; a daughter, Dawn Lemmon (Ted) of Corapeake; a son, Bryan Tatterson (Marie) of Beaufort, SC; a step-son, Pete Veneris (Amy) of Williamsburg, VA; a sister, Linda M. Bufalino (Tony); four brothers, Eric McClure (Anne), John McClure (Linda), Bill McClure (Melody), and Donnie McClure; four grandchildren, Jordan and Joshua Lemmon and Jonathan and David Tatterson; and two step-grandchildren, Adam and Rachel Veneris.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and will be officiated by her brother, Major Bill McClure, an officer in The Salvation Army. Burial will follow in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
