A. Harrell Felton

   Armstead Harrell “Frosty” Felton, 86, of 199 White Oak Road, Eure, NC, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.      Mr. Felton was born in Gates County and was the last surviving of 10 children born to the late Elisha Joseph and Ellen Victoria Harrell Felton. Retired from farming and as a driver with Crossroads Fuel Service, he was a member and deacon of Eure Christian Church, and was a 60 year member of Gatesville Masonic Lodge #126.      Surviving are his wife of over 64 years, Alice Winborne Felton; his daughter, Ellen Felton Stokes and husband Doug of Ayden; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.      Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Eure Christian Church and will be officiated by his pastor, The Rev. Wade Bennett. Masonic Rites will be accorded in the church and a private burial will follow in the church cemetery.
