Liliana Loreta DiCocco Brennan

   Liliana Loreta DiCocco Brennan, 66, of 120 New River Drive, Hertford, NC, died peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, VA.

 

   Mrs. Brennan was born in Newark, NJ on June 27, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Galliano and Nunziata Fantozzi DiCocco.  A graduate of Rutgers University having graduated Magna Cum Laude, she retired from the Veterans Administration following 25 years of employment, and more recently was employed as a loan processor with First Home Mortgage in Chesapeake.  A member of Hertford United Methodist Church, she was an avid motorcyclist having been a member of numerous motorcycle clubs including the Gold Wing Association of America, American Legion Riders, Blue Knights Chapter 15, and Coastal Carolina Riders.

 

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Krista Renee' Brennan Foberg.

 

   Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Thomas Stephen Brennan, III; a step-daughter, Lori Bennett of Benson; a step-son, Thomas Stephen Brennan, IV and wife Lisa of Stanhope, NJ; a sister, Maria Christina DiCocco of Fairhope, AL; two brothers, John DiCocco of Succasunna, NJ and Mario DiCocco and wife Polly of Langhorne, PA; a god-son, Jason DiCocco; six grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.

 

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, at 3:00 p.m. in Hertford United Methodist Church, and will be officiated by the Rev. Jane Leechford and Chaplain Corbin Cherry.  Friends may join the family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.

 

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society.
