Jay Dotson

   Arvel Jack “Jay” Dotson, Jr., 52, of 141 Peach Tree Street, Jarvisburg, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in his home where he was surrounded by his family.

   Jay was born in Portsmouth, VA on October 13, 1963, and was the son of Vicki Cooke Dotson of Washington, NC and the late Arvel Jack Dotson, Sr. The owner of Duck Heating & Cooling, he was a faithful member of Currituck Bible Baptist Church, who loved his Lord and Savior, and was saved by His Grace. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, and was happiest when he was on the river, or the farm in Chocowinity.

   In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Leigh Dotson.

   Surviving with his mother, are his wife of nearly 24 years, Bettie Fulcher Dotson; his son, Adam Ross Dotson, his wife Kenya, and their children, Andrew Jack and Karleigh Rose, of Fredericksburg, VA; and his brother, Joey Dotson of Washington.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 24th, at 2:00 p.m. in Currituck Bible Baptist Church, and will be officiated by Pastor Eric Rainwater. Friends may join the family in the church immediately following the service, or all other times at the residence.
