Melissa Ann Reid

   Melissa Ann Reid, 45, of Roanoke Trail, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mrs. Reid was born in Delaware on July 12, 1971, and was the daughter of Wayne and Kathy Swain Lane of Edenton. A store manager, she had been employed with Country Store for over 20 years.

   Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband of nearly 22 years, Wes Reid; a sister, Sandy Madre and husband Jeff of Elizabeth City; a niece, Ellie Edwards; and many extended family members and friends.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by Dr. James Horton. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, and all other times at the home of her parents, 3117 Rocky Hock Road, Edenton.
