Robert Edward Love, Sr.

   Robert Edward Love, Sr., 72, of 1149-5 US Hwy 158 West, Eure, NC passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 in his home.

   Mr. Love was born in Norfolk, VA on January 20, 1944, was the son of the late Robert Burton and Etta Mae Conner Love, and was raised by his maternal grandparents, the late Hiriam and Pearl Conner. A retired carpenter, he was Pentecostal Holiness by faith, and was an avid musician. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Love, a special aunt, Annie Moody, and by five grandchildren.

   Surviving are his three daughters, Carolyn Ann Brickhouse of Louisburg, Tina Hamilton and husband Chuck of Kentucky, and Ashley Thomas and husband Sacratos of Indiana; four sons, Robert E. Love, Jr. and wife Wanda of Dry Fork, VA, William D. Love and wife Lisa of Gatesville, Matthew S. Love and wife Amanda of Hertford, and Mark S. Love of Texas; his very dear friend and caregiver, Crystal C. Jenkins of Eure; his close friend, Mr. Bryant of Moyock; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and will be officiated by Pastor Kyle Truman. A private burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA. Friends may join the family Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
