Cynthia Hardy Maupin

   Cynthia Hardy Maupin, 45, of 210 Creek Trail, Edenton, NC, and formerly of Chesapeake, VA passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at home.

   Cindy was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 9, 1971, and was the daughter of Shirley Lassiter Hardy of Edenton, and the late Garrie Lee Hardy. Until her illness became severe, she resided in Wakefield, VA and served as a retail manager.

   Cindy’s greatest love was her children. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Alyceia Maupin of Suffolk, VA; two sons, Cheynne Maupin, also of Suffolk, and Sky Maupin of Virginia Beach. One of her proudest roles was that of grandmother to Aria Maupin. Other survivors include her sister, Kim Watts of Huntingtown, MD.

   Cindy’s vibrant smile, infectious personality, and selfless acts of support and kindness were gifts to all. Her loving spirit will be with us always.

   A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by the Rev. David Crumpler. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
