Lucille Kathleen Atwell Parr Edmonds, 96, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, December 12, 2016 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Edmonds was born in Burt, Michigan on March 3, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Cowell Atwell. A homemaker, she was a member of Albemarle Baptist Church, Mt. Morris Chapter #474, The Order of the Eastern Star, and was the founder of Handicaps Unlimited in Hampton, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Parr, and their children, Robert William Parr, Jr. and Barbara Parr, when a tornado struck the family home on June 8, 1953. Surviving are her daughter, Diann Goff and husband Marvin of Edenton; a step-son, Harlow Edmonds of Michigan; one grandchild, one great-grandchild, four great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. Funeral services are being planned with Allen Funeral Home in Davison, Michigan, and those arrangements will be announced as they become available.
