Anne Curran Chappell

   Anne Curran Chappell, 93, of Sycamore Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 in her home.      Anne was born in Chowan County on June 10, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Russell Aubrey Chappell and Mariah Jane Curran Chappell. A homemaker, she had formerly worked at both Chowan Medical Center and Carter’s Ink. A member of Edenton Baptist Church, she also had enjoyed the fellowship of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Colonial Dames of America.      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Bootwright; and by her sisters, Jacqueline Potter, Agnes Chappell, and Loretta Deans.      Surviving are her daughter, Chloe Cox and husband Al; and her son, Russell Bootwright and wife Sheila, all of Edenton. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Chris Cox and wife Ann, Kim Hansen Giambelli and husband Alex, Geddes Bootwright, Lori Knapp Snoots and husband Eric, Samantha Bootwright and Russell Bootwright, II; six great-grandchildren, John, Reade, Aubrey, McCrae, McKayla, and Braylon; and two great-great-grandchildren, Reefe and Delilah.      Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Her Life, on Friday, December 30th, at 5:00 p.m. at Chloe and Al’s home, 329 Sycamore Road, Edenton.      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tri-County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980.      Online condolences may be made by visiting www.millerfhc.com.
