  Thomas Leon Butler, 54, of 324 Hwy 305, Windsor, NC, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Vidant Bertie Hospital, Windsor.

   Mr. Butler was born in Suffolk, VA and was the son of Mary Alice Barnes of Windsor and the late Elmo Jackson Butler. He was a designer with J.C. Penney.

   In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Robert Butler of Williamston.

   In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
