Susan Mohr Hassell

   Susan Jane Mohr Hassell, 60, of Shoshone Trail, Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 in her home.

   Mrs. Hassell was born in Suffolk County, NY on March 27, 1956, and was the daughter of the late John Schurmann and Jane Elizabeth Barker Mohr. She had been employed as a nursing assistant for many years.

   Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Elvis Hassell; two daughters, Amanda Rose Hassell and Sabrina Marie Hassell; four sisters, Sherry, Laurie, Heidi, and Debra; a brother, John; and two grandsons, Julian and Jase.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 15, at 3:00 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church. Friends may join the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
