Donnie Russell

   Donald Wayne "Donnie" Russell, 41, of 365 Chinquapin Road, Hertford, NC, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Duke University Hospital, Durham.

   Donnie was born in Pasquotank County on July 7, 1975, and was the son of Donnie and Cheryl Yoder Russell of Elizabeth City. A Senior Facility Technician with D.R.S Technologies in Elizabeth City, he also owned and operated Russell Electrical Service. An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of both Swampy Bottom and Belvidere-Chappell Hill Hunting Clubs. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheri Lynn Russell.

   Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 20 years, Tina Turner Russell; three daughters, Kaylin Brooke, Ashleigh Blair, and Emily Bryn Russell; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be officiated by Pastor Jeremy Pugh. Burial will follow in Whiteville Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence.
