Katie Lee Peal

   Katie Lee Peal, 49, of 408 High Street, Hertford, NC, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 in her home.

   Miss Peal was born in Patuxent, MD on October 15, 1967, and was the daughter of the late Oscar Turner, Jr. and Doris Jo Hodges Peal. A homemaker, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Coles.

   Surviving are her daughter, Tiffany Leeann Peal of Hertford; a granddaughter, Ava Peal, also of Hertford; a sister, Carolyn Gray of La Grange; and a brother, Bill Peal of Boston, MA.

   A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the home of her niece, Vereaquekaa Elliott, 117 Meads Circle, Hertford.

   Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
