Christopher Charles Rule

   Christopher Charles “Chris” Rule, 78, of 402 Main Street, Gatesville, NC died Tuesday, February 14, 2017.      Mr. Rule was born in Union County, NJ on April 20, 1938, and was the son of the late Charles Christopher and Helen Bennett Rule. A retired Vice-President and General Manager from Easco Aluminum Corporation in Winton, he was an active member of Upper Room Assembly of God in Gatesville where he currently served as a Leader, and had also previously served as an Elder with Carpenter’s Shop International Church in Ahoskie. Other community involvement included having served as Chairman of the Gates County Republican Party, and was a Past-President with both Gatesville Rotary Club and the Sunbury Investment Club.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Specht.      Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Angela Rispoli Rule; a son, Scot Christopher Rule and wife Kathleen of Flemington, NJ; and two granddaughters, Kristin Ann and Lauren Angeline Rule.      A celebration of his life will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Upper Room Assembly of God, and will be officiated by Pastors Eric Earhart and Wallace Phillips. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Room Assembly of God, 807 Main Street, Gatesville, NC 27938.
