Edward Daniel "Cowboy" Pritchett, Sr.

   Edward Daniel “Cowboy” Pritchett, Sr., 67, of Edenton, NC, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, in his home.

   Mr. Pritchett was born in Martin County on April 9, 1949, and was the son of the late James and Mamie Lawrence Pritchett. He was formerly employed as an Ironworker with Local 79.

   Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Jean Pike Pritchett; a daughter, Beverly Hansley, and a son, Edward D. “Boog” Pritchett, Jr., all of Edenton; five sisters, Mary Hassell of Alexandria, LA, Brenda Jackson and Jackie Wynn, both of Roper, Donna Dotson of Plymouth, and Sandra Robinson of Jamesville; two brothers, Tom Pritchett and Larry Pritchett, both of Jamesville; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Alyssa Hansley.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 18th, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Pastor Carroll Bunch. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, and all other times at the home of his daughter, 1346 N. Broad Street, Edenton.
