Jeanne Williams Credle

   Jeanne Williams Credle, 75, of 137 Osprey Drive, Edenton, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, where she was surrounded by her family.

   Mrs. Credle was born in Norfolk, VA on May 2, 1941, and was the daughter of the late John K. and Frances Stenson Williams. She was the retired Human Resources manager with Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville, GA. She was a faithful member of Edenton United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and also enjoyed membership in the Kappa Lambda Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

   Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Thomas P. “Tom” Credle; three daughters, Sharon Greely and husband Charles of Salem, VA, Laura Credle of Roanoke, VA, and Delores Sides and husband Danny of Greensboro; a son, John Thomas Credle and wife Shannon of Phoenix City, AL; and seven grandchildren, Chris, Allen and wife Nicole, Kaitlin, Charlie, Caleb, Owen, and Ava.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Edenton United Methodist Church and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. W. Christopher Aydlett. A private inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Friends may join the family at a reception in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

   The family asks that flowers be omitted, and contributions in her memory be made to the Edenton U.M.C. Building Fund, P.O. Box 37, Edenton, NC 27932.
