Lois Jordan

   Margaret Delores “Lois” Jordan, 82, formerly of Tyner, NC, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Edenton.

   Miss Jordan was born in Chowan County on July 29, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Ollie Norman and Easter Mae Goodwin Jordan. She was a member of Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Mae Goodwin, Lillian Rhodes, and Ruth Longacre; and by three brothers, Cary Jordan, Wilber Jordan, and Hubert Jordan.

   Surviving are four sisters, Hazel Davis of Edenton, Louise Dail of Hertford, and Doris McGue and Sue Rogiano, both of Hatfield, PA; two brothers, Robert Jordan of Smithfield, VA and James C. “Teny” Jordan of Edenton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by The Rev. Walter Byrum. Burial will follow in the Jordan Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and all other times at Louise’s home, 164 Great Hope Church Road, Hertford.
