Sheila Yvonne Bivens

   Sheila Yvonne Bivens, 63, of Center Hill Road, Tyner, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, in Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

   Miss Bivens was born in Norfolk, VA on February 25, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Robert Ernest, Jr. and Maggie Ruth Johnson Bivens, former residents of Sligo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Cooke, Jr.

   Surviving are her sister, Anna Marie Bivens Casper of Edenton; brother, Robert E. “Ernie” Bivens, III of Alabama; and many extended family members and friends.

   A memorial service will be held Friday, May 5th, at 2:00 p.m. in Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church, 3025 Virginia Road, Tyner, and will be conducted by the pastor, The Rev. Ron Parr.
