Fae Gray Rogers

   Fae Gray Rogers, 71, of 126 Jackson Street, Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, in her home where she was surrounded by her family.

 

   Mrs. Rogers was born in Chowan County on September 6, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Elmer Gray and Eula Williams Watson. She had retired as a machinist from the Edenton Cotton Mill.

 

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mae Rogers.

 

   Surviving are two daughters, Helen Jernigan of Washington, and Donna Hollifield of Edenton; a son, Wayne Jernigan, Jr. and wife Kay of Williamston; three sisters, Melba Overton of Hertford, Louise McClenney of Merry Hill, and Frances Miller of Bear Grass; six grandchildren, Brandon, Steven, Kevin, Brittany, Brennen, and Joshua; and two great-grandchildren, Kassidy and Robbie.

 

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at the residence.
