Judy Gilliland Conner

   Judy Gilliland Conner, 64, of 1448 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in her home.

   Mrs. Conner was born in Portsmouth, VA on August 18, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Francis Henry and Lurley Brown Gilliland. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Brown.

   Surviving are her husband of 44 years, David Herbert Conner; two sons, David Conner and wife Carrie and Timothy Conner and wife Crystal, both of Eure; a step-daughter, Susan Talton and husband Dick of Suffolk, VA; two sisters, Frances Williams of Carrollton, TX and Jane Sumner of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Frank Gilliland, Jr. of Drewryville, VA; and seven grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Joshua, Caleb, Eli, Liam, and Aiden.

   A gathering for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the residence. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the American Heart Association.
