Peggy Burgess Bunn

   Peggy Inez Burgess Bunn, 86, of 1731 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Sentara Hospice House, Virginia Beach, VA.

   Mrs. Bunn was born in Wilson County on August 23, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Troy and Tincie Williams Burgess. A retired florist, she was a member of Burgess Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover Francis Bunn; two sisters, Lula May Bissette and Marjorie Anne High; and by three brothers, Jim, John, and Troy Burgess, Jr.

   Surviving are her son, Mitchell Bunn of Hertford; two granddaughters, Mindy and Jessica; and three great-grandsons, Gabriel, Zachary, and Aidan.

   At her request, no services will be held. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
