Rosemary Pryor Rosenburg

   Rosemary Pryor Rosenburg, 87, of Kitty Hawk, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in her daughter’s home where she was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

   Mrs. Rosenburg was born in Birmingham, AL on September 11, 1929, was the daughter of the late Kenneth Pryor and Ruth Peffer Pryor Hildebrand, and was raised by her grandmother, the late Mary Barker Baker. A retired licensed practical nurse from P.P.C.C. District Health Department, she was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, and had volunteered with the Women’s and Children’s Domestic Violence Abuse Hotline. In addition to her parents and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Commander Herman E. Rosenburg; her daughter, Nancy Lynn Hagan; a sister, Irma Ruth Hughes; and by a brother, John A. Pryor.

   Surviving are her daughter, Mary Alice Hagan Butcher and husband David of Elizabeth City; three sons, Alvin Leonard Glatkowski and wife Cynthia of Duck, Bruce Carlton Glatkowski of Minneapolis, MN, and CDR Michael F. Hagan, USN Ret. and wife Georgia of New Windsor, MD; three sisters, Diane Fischer of Taylorsville, KY, Willa Cox Rinker of Mesa, AZ; and Joan Jakubczak of Hayes, VA; a brother, Irvin Clay Hildebrand of Mt. Washington, KY; two cousins, Helen Dean Holloway and Shirley Harp, both of Louisville, KY; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

   A memorial service will be held Monday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church, 40 Pintail Trail, Southern Shores, and will be officiated by The Rev. Thomas Wilson. Friends may join the family in the church parish hall immediately following the service. Inurnment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

   Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
