Krista Autumn Powers

   Krista Autumn Powers, 36, of Moyock, NC, passed away peacefully Friday, June 16, 2017 in her home where she was surrounded by her family and friends.

   Born in Pasquotank County on August 12, 1980, she was the daughter of Peggy Lee Zeiger Powers of Moyock and the late Ronnie Curtis Powers. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helma "Jean" Amaral.

   Surviving in addition to her mother are her fiancé, Corey Scaff of Moyock; a brother, Jason Powers of Raleigh and his daughter, Trinity Virginia Powers of California; a sister, Roslyn Ashley Inks and husband Stephen and their children, Ethan Cash Inks and Sienna Rose Inks, all of Elizabeth City; her grandparents, Hubert and Lucretia Powers of Chesapeake, VA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the Rutters-Powers Cemetery, Ballahack Road, Chesapeake, and will be officiated by Pastor James Harrington. Friends may join the family in her grandparent’s home, 333 Ballahack Road, Chesapeake, immediately following the service on Tuesday.

   The family would like to express their deep appreciation for all the love and support they have received from friends and their community.
