Margaret Frawley Dunne

   Margaret Catherine Frawley Dunne, of West Church Street, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Peconic Bay Medical Center, Riverhead, New York, where she was cared for by her family.

   Mrs. Dunne was born in Malverne, New York, and was the daughter of the late Aloysuis and Gertrude Rooney Frawley. In 1972, she and her husband, the late Kenneth John Dunne, began a successful Gourmet Foods business on Long Island, NY, which they continued to operate for 25 years. Relocating to Edenton in 1991, they purchased and enjoyed operating The Granville Queen Inn for 13 years prior to retirement. During their time in Edenton, they were faithful members of St. Anne Catholic Church.

   Mrs. Dunne loved family and friends, meeting new people, and her work in the church.

   Surviving are her sons, Kenneth Dunne of Waterford, VA, and Patrick Dunne and wife Anne of Great Falls, VA; and six grandchildren, Nicole, Patrick, Colin, John, Kenneth, and Peter Dunne.

   Friends may join the family Friday, July 21, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.  During the visitation time a Prayer Service will be conducted by Deacon Frank Jones.

   A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church and will be conducted by Monsignor Douglas Reed, The Reverend Carlos Arce, and Deacon Frank Jones.

   She will be buried beside her husband on Friday, August 4, at 1:00 p.m. in the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY.
