Pamela Smith Cummings

   Pamela Joe Smith Cummings, 50, of Bay Drive, Washington, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, after a long, hard fought and heartfelt battle with Breast Cancer.

 

   Pam was born in Chowan County on November 29, 1966, and was the daughter of the late Roy Odell and Barbara Ann Ainsley Smith. She grew up in Columbia, graduated from Columbia High School, and later earned her Bachelor’s in Business and Marketing from East Carolina University. Until her health prevented her from working, she was the Human Resources Manager at ECU, and had also held that position at Beaufort Community College. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Greenville.

 

   Surviving are her husband, Warren Francis Cummings, and their 10 year old son, Bryce Stanton Cummings; her sister, Fran Smith Byrum and husband Glenn of Merry Hill; and her brother, Leroy Smith of Washington.

 

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Deacon Frank Jones of St. Anne Catholic Church. She will be buried next to her mother in Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor.

 

   In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Peter Catholic School, 2606 E. 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27858.
