Edward Kenneth Adkins

   Edward Kenneth "Pops" Adkins, 55, of 1376 Beech Springs Road, Tyner, NC, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in his home.

   Mr. Adkins was born in Allegan County, MI on July 23, 1961, and was the son of Almeda Fay Rodgers Adkins of Merry Hill and the late Kenneth Clyde Adkins. A plumber, he was employed with McPherson Enterprizes.

   Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Sandra Huskey Adkins; a daughter, Kelsey Lane and husband Randy; a son, Chris Adkins and wife Monica, all of Tyner; three sisters, Carla Williams of Tyner, Carol Chandler of Tennessee, and Suzie Gauldin of Beckley, WV; a brother, Ron Adkins of Elizabeth City; and four grandchildren, Austin Overton, Sam Adkins, Jr., Randy Lane, III, and Bentley Lane.
