Ethel Harrell Perry

   Ethel Harrell Perry, 92, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, in MacGregor Downs Health & Rehabilitation Center, Greenville, NC.

   Mrs. Perry was born in Chowan County on December 21, 1924, and was the daughter of the late James D. and Agnes H. Harrell. A homemaker, she was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cullen Perry; a great-grandson, Christopher Carter Evans; and by her sister, Doris H. Hughes.

   Surviving are her daughters and their husbands, Reva P. and Lewis B. Evans, of Wadesboro, and Linda P. and Joseph Williford, of Stokes; her grandchildren and their spouses, David L. Evans and Cristi, of Frisco, TX, Major Christopher P. Evans and Terrie, of Fort Leavenworth, KS, Barry D. Jones and Pam, of Edenton, Lindsey Williford and Dr. Richard Coble, of Asheville, and Mark Williford of Greenville; her great-grandchildren, Meghan, William, Callie, and Hunter Evans, and Joseph W. Coble; and her brother, Melvin I. Harrell of Edenton.

   A Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, July 24th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. James Horton. The burial will be private in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to building fund of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, 113 Rocky Hock Church Road, Edenton, NC 27932.
