Shane Futrell

   Ronald Shane Futrell, 40, of 110 River Road, Winton, NC, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 in his home.

   Born in Hertford County on January 19, 1977, he was the son of David Ronald and Deborah Wall Futrell of Winton.  Employed as a welder with SC Millwright, Inc., he was a member of Ahoskie Free Will Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack, Jr. and Nettie Mae Futrell.

   Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 10 years, Nadine Acuna Futrell; a daughter, Chloe Renea Futrell; a brother, Mike Futrell; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Lillian Wall, all of Winton.

   A Celebration of his Life will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Ahoskie Free Will Baptist Church, and will be officiated by The Revs. Josh Butler, Joe Futrell, and Reuben Cason.  Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service, and other times at the home of his parents, 409 E. Pine Street, Winton.  A private burial will be in Winton Baptist Church Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shane Futrell Memorial Fund at any State Employees’ Credit Union.
