Wayne Rogerson

   Robert Wayne Rogerson, 68, of Swaynes Lane, Hertford, NC, died Monday, August 7, 2017 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. Rogerson was born in Pasquotank County on February 17, 1949, and was the son of the late William Luther and Mary Ruth Stallings Rogerson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Davenport Rogerson; and by brothers, Terry and William "Bill" Rogerson.

   Surviving are his four sisters, Margie Lane and husband Jimmy, and Eva, Rita, and Susan Rogerson; a brother, Fred Rogerson; five step-children; and several step-grandchildren.

   Friends may join the family Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
