Earl Samuel Molton, Jr.

   Earl Samuel Molton, Jr., 62, of 170 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA.

   Mr. Molton was born in Norfolk, VA on March 27, 1955, and was the son of the late Earl Molton, Sr. and Helen Molton. A maintenance technician, he was employed with Dominion Energy at Southampton Power Station in Franklin, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Grace Van Loon.

   Surviving are his three children, Deidre Grace Molton, Earl Samuel Molton, III, and Jesse Lee Molton; two grandsons, Urias and Jaidakis Molton; a brother, James Molton; five sisters, Betty Salyers, Catherine Simms, Evelyn Ange, Brenda Payne, and Doris Hewitt; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Friends may join the family at the residence.
