L.E. "Josh" Tripp

   Linwood Earl “Josh” Tripp, 84, of Aulander, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017, in Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

   Mr. Tripp was born in Bertie County on September 19, 1932, and was the son of the late James Lawrence Tripp, Sr. and Elizabeth Pollard Tripp. A lifelong farmer and an avid fisherman, he was known and loved for his contagious cackling laugh.

   A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Hope and Frank Gosser of Edenton, and Annette and Sammy Farmer, and Donna and Mutt Askew, all of Aulander; his sister, Geraldine Keech of Belhaven; six grandchildren, Brad, Stephanie, Justin, Adam, Brandon, and Josh; and five great-grandchildren, Alden, Noah, Kennedy, Weston, and Lilly.

   A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Ebenezer Assembly of God Church, 809 NC Hwy 305, Aulander, and will be conducted by the Rev. Tim Parker.
