Lois Violet Winslow-Lowe, 79, of Matoaka Court, Willaimsburg, VA passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg.
Mrs. Winslow-Lowe was born in Perquimans County on January 1, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Louis Irving and Azalea Ruth Chappell Winslow. Having worked as both a teacher in public schools, and as a graphic designer for Federal Publications, she was a member of Piney Woods Friends Meeting in Belvidere, and the Daughters of The American Revolution.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Randy Lowe of Edenton.
Surviving are her husband, Richard W. “Dick” Lowe; her daughter, Sallyann Clark and husband William of Laurinburg; and Dick’s sons, John R. Lowe and wife Vevlyn of Clinton, and Stephen Lowe of Greenville. Together Lois Violet and Dick shared five grandchildren, Will Clark and wife Katie, Walt Clark, and Sean, Carter, and Jackson Lowe; and a great-grandson, Wesley Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Piney Woods Friends Meeting and will be conducted by Pastors Jeremy Pugh and Bob Young. Burial will follow in Up River Cemetery in the Whiteston community of Perquimans County. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, or in the church on Saturday during the hour prior to services.
