Jeanette Castelloe Farless

   Jeanette Castelloe Farless, of Colerain, NC, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Carillon of Knightdale Assisted Living.

   Mrs. Farless was born in Bertie County on November 6, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Everett and Bertha Johnson Castelloe. She retired from the textiles industry after more than 35 years, and in addition helped run the family business, Farless Grocery, with her late husband, Leroy. A faithful member of Colerain Baptist Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher and choir member for over 30 years.

   In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie, and by her brother, Brody.

   Surviving are her son, Tim Farless and his wife, Kelly, of Cary; her sister, Mary Ann Smith of Cofield; two brothers, Harlon Castelloe of Windsor, and O’Neal Castelloe of Edenton; and by two grandsons, Grayson and Parker Farless.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Colerain Baptist Church. A private burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service.
