Jimmie Lee Thompson

   Jimmie Lee "Jim" Thompson, 81, of Mt. Hermon Church Road, Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in his home.

   Mr. Thompson was born in Indiana on November 7, 1935, and was the son of the late Clarence and Edna Thompson. Employed in the banking industry for many years, he retired as a manager from Home Bazaar. A member and past deacon of Faith Assembly of God, through the years he had been active with Boys Scouts of American and several other community organizations. A veteran, he had served in US Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

   Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Martha Harden Thompson; a daughter, Laura; son, David; sister, Thelma; and two brothers, Ray and Paul.

   Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Faith Assembly of God, 1551 Ocean Hwy N., Hertford.
