Frances Diane “Fran” Casey Ferraraccio Yoder, 73, of Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in her home.
Mrs. Yoder was born in Auburn, New York, on November 2, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Doris DeLano Casey. She received her education at Mt. Carmel High School, Auburn Community College, and Cortland State Teacher’s College, before becoming a Second Grade teacher at Sacred Heart School in Auburn.
While living in Auburn, she had been a member of the Jay-N-Cees, the Lincoln School PTA, and served on numerous community projects. After moving to Edenton in 1985, she became a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she served as an officer and chairperson of several committees, had served as the Chowan Court Watch Program chairperson, and President of Community Policing. A faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church, she had served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Lay-Presider, Greeter, and Youth Lector Mentor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Casey, formerly of Auburn; and by her husbands, Joseph Ferraraccio and Kelly Yoder.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Casey Ferraraccio (Kelly) of Auburn, and Brian Michael Ferraraccio (Lisa) of Edenton; a sister, Patricia Casey Vanderloo of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; a brother, Larry Casey of Phelps, NY; six grandchildren, Cory, Morgan, McKenzee, and Joseph Ferraraccio of Auburn, and Megan and Kelli Ferraraccio of Edenton; and a great-grandson, Cameron Jace Coston.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday at 3:00 p.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church Hall and will be conducted by The Rev. Carlos Arce and Deacon Frank Jones.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, 207 N. Broad St, Edenton, NC 27932.
