Wayne Burke Perry

   Wayne Burke Perry, 71, formerly of W. Grubb Street, Hertford, NC, died Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Concordia Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. Perry was born in Perquimans County on April 20, 1946, and was the son of the late Joseph Burke and Sara Frances Jordan Perry.  A retired carpenter, he was a member of Bear Swamp Hunt Club, and was an avid fisherman.  A veteran, he had served in the Army National Guard.

   Surviving are his two daughters, Jenneal P. Trueblood and husband Tony and Brianne P. Meads and husband Buddy; a son, W. Burke Perry, Jr. and wife Annette, all of Hertford; and six grandchildren, Caden, Cariss, Colton, Justus, Larisa, and Sawyer.

   A private memorial service will be held.  Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
